DESIGN
My travels in India, Europe and now the U.S. have exposed me to diverse socio-economic, political, environmental and cultural amalgamations. My work and research has increasingly grown in the realm of socio-cultural and environmental issues combined with formal explorations and experimentations blending visual aesthetics of different cultures. Design has the power to communicate, educate, and inform. I find it extremely rewarding to create meaningful design directed toward positive change.
TEACHING
As an educator, in this ever-growing visual culture and information technology, I think it is important to acquire a more global outlook while maintaining an individual identity. Facilitating students at the initial stages of their learning, with an opportunity to explore their creativity while inculcating the broader values of design citizenship and responsibility can broaden students’ experience in the field of Graphic Design.
